Being able to refashion and alter clothes is one of the most useful skills to have. Alteration is more than just fitting a school uniform or a pair of Jeans, those are covered by the course, it’s about fitting a piece we love but doesn’t exactly fit. It’s about refashioning a garment into something new and unique; it’s about adding a personal touch. It’s about creating.

There’s a satisfaction from repairing rather than replacing clothes when needed; we like to maintain our favourite possessions for as long as possible. That’s before we take into consideration the impact of buying and/or consuming more than is necessary.
